Microsoft Teams is a corporate messenger for collaborative work. Microsoft launched the desktop version of the app in 2017 as a part of Office 365. It is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Later, developers added a mobile version of it. The Microsoft Teams Android app is compatible with both phones and tablets and requires Android 4.4+. iOS version can be used on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and requires iOS 10.0+.

Features and Functions

Microsoft Teams provides great opportunities for collaboration on company projects: from chats to online conferences. Using other Office 365 apps, you can track project progress, edit documents in real-time, and manage the meeting in one place.

Inside the app, there is a calendar in which you can schedule meetings. As soon as you added the event to the schedule, all participants will receive email notifications. Use guest access if you need to invite experts from outside your company to the discussion.

During the meeting, you can share photos, videos, PowerPoint slides, or the screen of your device. If necessary, you can add one more device. For example, hold a meeting on a laptop and use the phone to share files. Before starting a meeting, make sure that you are signed in to the same account on both devices.

In the app, you can customize the notification system as you need. Specify “quiet” hours or even days, and then nothing will distract you while resting. It is especially important if you work with people from different time zones.

Interface

The interface of the mobile version of Microsoft Teams is convenient to use and will be familiar to those who have already worked with other Microsoft apps. Although, it differs from the desktop version. Perhaps some icons and texts can be too small for some users.

You can customize the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen so that you can quickly access the tab you need. Microsoft Teams is also available in Dark Mode. We recommend using it to reduce strain on your eyes or save your battery.

Conclusion

The Microsoft Teams mobile app supports the same functions and features as the desktop version, while always at hand. So even on-the-go you can participate in the company project. The app is a part of Office 365 by Microsoft and requires iOS 10.0 and later or Android 4.4 and later.
