If you've already delved into Star Wars Outlaws, experiencing space adventures with Kay Vess and Nix in the Outer Rim, you might have come across the game's frustrating stealth system. While Star Wars Outlaws is praised for immersing players into the Star Wars universe, some of its gameplay mechanics have become major obstacles, leading many players to feel disheartened.

One notable issue is the stealth system, which early in the game can severely test your patience. The harsh penalties and unpredictable enemy AI make for a frustrating experience, often forcing players to repeatedly replay certain sections. At Gamereactor, this mechanic has caused us enough headaches that we’ve even published a guide to help others avoid the same troubles.

In a recent interview, the game’s creative director, Julian Gerighty, acknowledged that the early instant-failure stealth missions are overly punishing and not what was intended. He confirmed that these issues would be addressed in an upcoming patch.

"You're probably thinking of one of the early missions in Mirogana, which is incredibly punishing. For me, that is a mistake, and this is something we're working to improve. I don't think it means removing the fail state completely, but there are numerous ways to make it more enjoyable and understandable," Gerighty explained.

He added that the team didn’t want the game to feel unfair, but admitted that currently, it does. The issue, which emerged late in development, is being corrected, and a patch to resolve it should be out within 10 days.

So, players frustrated by these progression barriers in Star Wars Outlaws can expect smoother gameplay soon. Have you encountered this problem yourself? How has your experience with Star Wars Outlaws been so far?
