Following the immense triumph of HBO's first season of The Last of Us, the excitement for the forthcoming second season is palpable. Although the release is still some time away, HBO has unveiled a new teaser that offers fans a glimpse of what's to come.

In this brief preview, viewers can spot a number of familiar characters, settings, and action sequences that echo the storyline of The Last of Us Part 2. Alongside recognizable elements, there seem to be fresh interpretations and perhaps entirely new scenarios to look forward to.

Pedro Pascal and Ella Ramsey will once again bring Joel and Ellie back to life, respectively. The new season also welcomes a variety of fresh faces, including Abby, portrayed by Kaitlyn Dever, Dina by Isabela Merced, and Jesse, played by Young Mazino. Additionally, Jeffrey Wright is set to reprise his role as Isaac, a character he previously portrayed in the game.

The second season will only cover part of the game's narrative and will consist of seven episodes. It is aiming for a premiere in 2025.
