After five years of having explored massive open worlds, Ubisoft has decided to break its mold and return with a smaller-scale game in the iconic Assassin’s Creed franchise. Dubbed "Assassin's Creed Mirage," this character-driven story takes us back to the same core pillars that made us fall in love with the first ACs.

According to Stéphane Boudon, creative director for Assassin's Creed Mirage, their main focus was looking at what their fans had been calling for. Apparently, many gamers wanted a break from Ubisoft's open-world gaming design and are now looking for something else that can offer an immersive experience. This time around, it looks like they have heard these voices loud and clear!

While 2017 saw a dramatic change in the formula when Origwas ins released (especially with its more nuanced combat), players have grown tired of all these exploratory games; this is why Assassins' creed mirage focuses on action over exploration — honing back into what made them fall in love with the franchise initially. Apart from focusing on stealth and majorly action-based gameplay elements, we also expect some returning fan-favorite features such as parkour, etc.

Since Assassins' creed has always been known for its historical fiction setting, we should be expecting no different here, either. Instead of going to sci-fi or supernatural as recent entries did (like Odyssey), Assassins' Creed Mirage will completely stay true to its original form by using real landmarks.

Despite not having any concrete details yet about what kind of changes or additions Assassin’s Creed Mirage will bring, there is one thing you can count on - it will certainly bring back familiar faces and make sure your journey through medieval Europe stays true to Ubisoft’s roots!
